Welcome to the IOM Catalog Access Page

Introduction

The IOM meteorite collection includes samples from approximately 600 different meteorites, representative of most meteorite types. The last printed copy of the Catalog was published in 1990. We will no longer publish a printed catalog, but instead have produced this web-based Online Catalog which presents the current catalog in searchable and downloadable forms. The catalog available from this site will be updated continuously. This is an ongoing project and may contain inaccuracies. Please contact the Curator, Dr. Carl Agee (agee@unm.edu) if you have any questions or comments.

Online Searchable Catalog

The Institute of Meteoritics Online Catalog is a dynamic, database-driven application that permits up-to-date searches for meteorite samples in the IOM collections. Database queries are easily constructed using a hierarchically nested structure. Query results can be viewed or printed from the screen, or can be displayed and saved in Adobe Acrobat's Portable Document Format (PDF). To access the online catalog, click on the button below. User instructions are provided on subsequent pages.
